Jan Levine: Stuart Suspended Three Games. Fair or Nor? Suspended for hit on Nash..

Not fair. This was clearly an intent, maybe not so much to injure, but he meant to drill his head.
NHL is doing a poopty job at sending the message to not hit the head.

Seriously, I have no idea how the NHL decides on these things. So many similar plays/hits with so many different lengths of suspensions.

I think it was fitting, Stuart has always been a hard hitter, never thought of him as dirty but still nonetheless it was careless

Going back and saw he was suspended in 2001 and missed 21 games due to a concussion a few years later, so you think he might be more aware

I think Shanahan does a pretty good job of explaining and justifying the length of the suspensions he hands out.

A suspension... maybe? 3 games.... way too much.

I think it's tough to say Jan. I do think in the future, suspensions should be tied to how long the player is out. I guess considering it was a phone hearing and the max he could get was 4 games, I guess it's around what I thought. I don't think of Stuart as dirty.

What game? Nash got concussed and the game ended, nothing in between

I'm not saying make it that drastic, in the past there have been some suspensions around the league that I think were light considering how hurt the player was. Not saying in this case, I didn't think Stuart would get a lot, I don't think he's a dirty player with a history.

Honestly from the angle they show it doesn't lol like his elbow is anywhere close to making contact with his head. it looks more like he hits his shoulder and there's a little follow thru with the forearm that gets up a little higher. def not intent to Injure just bad luck for both parties after a clean hit

I just spun the wheel for this particular incident and landed on 6 games for Stuart so now I can safely say that he got off easy.

I was thinking the same thing; it doesn't appear as intent to injure, just a careless follow through to me.

But more importantly, is Nash ok?

Didn't look like a suspension to me, but I thought downie Should've gotten a few for his hit on josi last week. So what the hell do I know?
